Operating your own measurement station

Your choice: high quality, low price, or "Do it yourself"

Our system has open interfaces, i.e., everybody can enter the data of his/her measurement station. We offer prefabricated solutions for the calibrated measurement stations of the firm iocto in Hofheim and for a kit of the firm AK Modul-Bus.

High-end solution

The measuring station SPMTWO built by the firm iocto is a sound level monitor according to DIN 61672 of accuracy class 1.

The sound level meter system consists of a weather-proof microphone (with a cable of 10m length) and processing electronics that also do the data transfer to our web server.

Advantages:

  • weather-proof microphone
  • measurement of dBA and dBC in parallel
  • real-time FFT and one-third octave band analysis
  • storage of audio data of noise events
  • interface for weather station
  • calibratable according to DAkkS (German calibration service)
  • simple installation
  • no PC required – hence definitely no computer crashes

Cost-effective kit

The necessary elements are offered as "Complete Package Aircraft Noise" by firm AK Modul-Bus. The kit consists of the noise sensor and an A/D converter with serial output. Additionally, you need the „Raspberry Pi Zusatzkit“.

Advantage:

  • cost-effective

Disadvantage:

  • microphone is not weather-proof
  • measurement data are more inaccurate than class 1 or 2 systems

Note: Since we all work voluntary, we can't give support for the „Raspberry Pi Zusatzkit“ from AK Modul-Bus.
Please ask AK Modul-Bus.

"Do it yourself"

You may use any measurement device. We provide an interface description.

But adaptations that may be necessary will have to be done by yourself - we will only provide you with the know-how about the interface!

Advantage:

  • "anything goes"
